Although this is a review in anticipation of the fall, the summer here in Seattle was chilly enough that I actually needed this gloves on a few mornings for my usual ride in to work. What are they? Rapha Leather Town Gloves. Made from African hair sheep . . . whatever those are. Why wear them? Well, they’re just about the best fall/spring riding glove that I’ve found yet and at $85 they’re actually cheap by Rapha standards.
Outlier . . . geeze, where to start?
I feel like Outlier is a company that doesn’t need much of an introduction . . . but that in itself may be an indicator that I should introduce them.
Let’s see . . . Outlier is like the Rapha of urban cycling apparel.
Hmm . . . does that mean that I should introduce Rapha, too?
Zlog Blog is another example of someone doing it right. They’re based in Seattle and originated in 2008, with a focus on bringing you “news, products, and trends within the fast growing fixed-gear culture.”
I remembering stumbling upon Zlog shortly after moving to Seattle and thinking “woah, what a cool blog . . . I’ll have to come back here”, but unfortunately with so many good sites and blogs out there I forgot for awhile. A friend of mine used to work with Daniel (Double D) at Zeitgeist Coffee downtown and I saw him at the West Side Invitational rocking a Zlog tee of some sort and was reminded.
