LINE ART
Hot on the heels of this wonderful line drawing, that went viral on teh bicycle intranets is this: the dark side of typography.
YES.
LINK DUMP
At work we’ve been doing a new thing where staff members submit articles, videos, pictures, events, etc. to a weekly newsletter/email. It’s wonderful to be able to see what everyone is reading/watching/attending/suggesting. In the past I’ve done posts where I share certain blogs and sites that I frequent and I figured that mayhap it was time to do another one.
Men and Women of Industry
I stumbled upon this site by way of Uncrate (a men’s shopping guide, of sorts) and have come to love it. The tagline for the site is “Men’s style, fashion, and design”, but really it’s more than that. They feature a lot of quality, classic materials and products, such as L.L.Bean leather shoes, Pendleton wool, and Cowichan knits.
They also happen to post about bikes every so often, which is just fine with me.
Boing Boing
I love checking Boing Boing every single day. You never know what you’re going to find, but it’s always going to be good. Just trust me on this one. Great blog.
Eco Velo
The folks (family?) over at Eco Velo do a simply wonderful job of combining two of my biggest passions, bicycles and photography, into an impressive and inspiring website. Such great content all the time.
Hub and Bespoke
As if opening and running Hub and Bespoke (Fremont, Seattle) wasn’t enough, business partners Juliette and Aldan also keep a fantastic blog. They always post good stuff and I love their place and their philosophy. Hub and Bespoke is totally doing things their way and doing it right
Good times.
ENDHIRAN (ROBOT)
*WARNING* Potentially NSFW
Seen at Boing Boing, this ridiculously over-the-top action scene is over-the-top amazing! It’s like the Matrix, Transformers, Power Rangers, Silver Surfer combined!

RUBEN ALCANTARA – THANK YOU VID
Wow, wow, wow. Great video from Ruben Alcantara thanking his friends, family, and sponsors for all their help and support throughout his career (as a professional BMXer).
Ruben has been a huge influence in my life. His riding is amazing and he seems like a genuinely good, good person. Cheers!

ALBERTO CONTADOR BANNED. 2010 TdF TITLE GONE.
Well. . . there we go. The rumor mill said it was coming and so it has. Contador (also known as “Contraband” by unoriginal cycling news website commenters”) has been given a one year ban and will be stripped of his 2010 TdF title.
So far, this is one of the best responses that I’ve read:
“Running joke in the sports world? Go ahead and name those sports without cheaters and dopers? The joke is how much we as the public CARE? Was Bernie Madoff a joke on wall street pre arrest ? Money and Fame brings out the worst in most everything. Sports-Religion-Politics. Go ahead and name me any of those big 3 without cheating or fraud or corruption…….Go ride a bike people…..”
*Yawn* Maybe now we can all move on and get back to riding our bikes. All the talk about right and wrong, cheaters and lairs, ignorance and bliss gets old.
Ooh wait. . . is there new news on Lance Armstrong and the doping allegations against him???
Let me read it, let me read it.
